Workaway – Mixing up pisco sours in Paracas

Kokopelli was located in the small town of Paracas, were most travellers pit stop for a day or two, but we stayed two weeks completing a Workaway there. Whilst indulging in seafood and ceviche or chilling by the pool, we were also working behind the bar to cover our free accommodation.

We meet a load of awesome people and furry 4 legged friends along the way, learnt how to make a killer Pisco Sour or 2 and enjoyed just slowing down a little bit after some full in months of travel. Though we may have consumed a few too many beverages, we surprising saved a lot just by cooking simple dinners and enjoying relaxing by the pool.

The hostel itself provided breakfast and accommodation in return for work and though the breakfast wasn't the biggest or the best but we made it work. Give me a couple of bananas and a egg and I can whip up the easiest banana pancakes you can make. At the end of the day as long as there is coffee, I can survive.

At the end of the two weeks we had exhausted all the to do’s and were ready to move on. We were more refreshed and ready to take on the rest of Peru.
